We now have available for Emerging Gold carded athletes and above a Nutrition Clinic which athletes can see Sports Nutritionist, Ronan Doherty. This service is cost neutral for athletes.

Ronan is a Sports Nutritionist who also lectures part time in North West Regional College and the Institute of Technology. Ronan was worked with the Irish Rowing Team, the Paralympic Soccer team, Paralympic Rowing team and the the Irish Boxing team. Ronan is a Professional Member of the Irish Institute of Sport in the field of Nutrition and a member of the British Dietetic Association.

The clinic is held at the Irish Institute of Sport in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

Expresson of Interest Form

Athletes wishing to be considered for an event listed on the annual competition calendars should in the first instance fill out an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) and if necessary discuss their interest with Athletics Ireland's National Teams Coordinator.  The EOI's are an important link for Athletics Ireland team preparations, Team Managers, and Team Selectors.

UPDATE: 2012 Athletics Ireland Olympic Games Nomination Policy

Athletics Ireland has updated the Nomination Policy for the 2012 Olympic Games.  The policy details the criteria and process of nomination to the Olympic Committee of Ireland as well as the dates of the nomination meetings.  Athletes in the 50km Race Walks and Marathon will be nominated to the OCI after the Selectors meeting on 21 May 2012.  Further questions can be directed to:
